2014年、福岡の音楽シーンを彩る5つのイベントが
深町健二郎氏プロデュースのもと、一つに集結しました。
“音楽都市・福岡”として全国・アジアに向けた情報発信を実施することで、
広域集客などによるさらなる街の賑わい創出と
音楽産業の振興を目指した取り組みを始めました。
今年も全5イベントによる「Fukuoka Music Month 2025」がいよいよ始動します！

福岡ミュージックマンスとは？
音楽が盛んな街・福岡を象徴するように、たまたま9月に5つのフェスが集中していたことに着目し、連携することで”音楽都市・福岡”をさらに国内外にPRすることを目的に2014年から「福岡ミュージックマンス」として、各フェス主催者と福岡市が共同でスタートしました。

当初は、Sunset Live(2024年終了)、中洲ジャズ、九州ゴスペルフェスティバル(2024年からSing!HAKATAに名称変更)、Fukuoka Asian Picks(2020年終了)、MUSIC CITY TENJINでしたが、2025年現在、ISLA DE SALSA(2024年から参加)とBAYFES（2022年から参加）が新たに加わっています。
おかげさまで福岡ミュージックマンスとして、10年以上も継続していることで、“毎年9月は音楽の祭典”という認識も高まりつつあります。来訪者が多い福岡市にとって、博多どんたくや博多祇園山笠に続く新たなお祭りとして、これからも楽しんでいただけるような音楽都市・福岡を目指していきたいと思います。

What is FMM (Fukuoka Music Month)?
FMM (Fukuoka Music Month) was launched in 2014 as a collaborative initiative between the City of Fukuoka and the organizers of several major music festivals. The idea stemmed from the observation that five different music festivals happened to be held in September-a month already vibrant with musical activity in Fukuoka. By aligning their efforts, the goal was to further promote Fukuoka as a "City of Music" both domestically and internationally.

Originally, the participating festivals included Sunset Live (ended in 2024), Nakasu Jazz, Kyushu Gospel Festival (renamed Sing!HAKATA in 2024), Fukuoka Asian Picks (discontinued in 2020), and Music City Tenjin. As of 2025, Isla de Salsa (joined in 2024) and the BAYFES(joined in 2022) have newly joined the lineup.
Thanks to over a decade of continuous operation, FMM has contributed to raising awareness that "September is a festival of music" in Fukuoka. As a city that attracts many visitors, Fukuoka aims to establish FMM as a new cultural tradition, alongside long-standing events like Hakata Dontaku and Hakata Gion Yamakasa.

１）BAYFES

福岡市の海の玄関口「ベイサイドプレイス博多」を音楽で溢れる港に！シーサイドで心地良い音楽を楽しみながら、至福のひと時をお過ごしください！



「博多パラダイス」として、単なる港ではなく娯楽地として栄えた歴史を背景に、「CREATE THE BAY CULTURE」をコンセプトに、新たなる福岡の文化発信地として2022年に「BAYSIDE FESTIVAL」は始まりました。福岡の若い才能も応援しつつ、ポートタワーや市営渡航船もステージとなり、港独自の展開に注目が集まっています。今年からBAYFESに変更。

Started in 2022, this festival reimagines Hakata Port -once a vibrant entertainment hub
known as “Hakata Paradise” -as a new cultural destination under the concept “Create the Bay Culture.” Young talents from Fukuoka are supported, and unique stages include the Port Tower and city-operated ferries.

２）NAKASU JAZZ

西日本最大級の歓楽街中洲をJazzのGrooveで彩るイベント｡



戦後昭和の華やかりし時代、博多のエンタメ震源地は中洲にありました。ダンスホールやキャバレーには、生バンドやダンサー達が夜を彩り、昼はデパートや映画館など子供から大人まで楽しめるのが中洲でした。いつの間にか歓楽街中心になった中洲に、もう一度あの頃の活気を取り戻そうと2009年に
「中洲ジャズ」はスタートしました。今や来場者は10万人を超えるほど、中洲大通りを中心に街全体に音楽が溢れ、安心安全な街が帰ってきました。

During the postwar Showa era, Nakasu was the entertainment hub of Hakata, filled with dance halls, cabarets, and live bands. Reviving this legacy, Nakasu Jazz started in 2009. The festival now draws over 100,000 visitors and fills Nakasu’s streets with live jazz, bringing vibrancy and a sense of safety back to Nakasu.

３）Sing!HAKATA

日本最大級の市民参加型の歌唱イベント。みんなで集い歌うことで、博多のまちに音楽のビッグウェーブを巻き起こします。



「福岡ミュージックマンス」旗揚げの2014年に「九州ゴスペルフェスティバル in 博多」としてスタートし、2024年に「Sing!HAKATA」へと進化。「ゴスペル」「合唱」「アカペラ」の3部門で
音楽の垣根を超え、みんなで集い歌うことで、九州の玄関口である博多のまちに音楽のビッグウェーブを巻き起こします。最終日ラストのグランドフィナーレでは会場一体となった大合唱を目指します！

Launched in 2014 as the Kyushu Gospel Festival, this event was renamed Sing!HAKATA in 2024 and expanded to feature all genres of vocal music. Held in front of Hakata Station, over 2,000 participants gather to sing, making it a large-scale participatory festival.

４）ISLA DE SALSA

今年のイスラはひと味違う！
世界が混ざる・心が躍る・能古島にイスラの鼓動が鳴り響く！



音楽とダンスで世界をつなぎ、25年以上の歴史を持つ異文化交流フェスティバル。福岡から船で10分、自然に囲まれた能古島のビーチで、国内外の人々がスパイスのように混ざり合い、唯一無二“サルサ”（ソース）を創り上げています。これまでに多くの著名な海外アーティストが出演しており、中でも１４回グラミーショー受賞したラテン界の巨匠フアン・ルイス・ゲラがアジアデビューを果たし、ビルボードラテンチャート1位を獲得した「バチャータ・エン・フクオカ」が生まれたフェスとしても知られています。

A cross-cultural festival with over 25 years of history, connecting the world through music and dance.Just a 10-minute ferry ride from Fukuoka, the festival takes place on the beach of Nokonoshima Island, surrounded by nature. People from Japan and around the world come together like spices, blending to create a one-of-a-kind cultural “salsa.” Many renowned international artists have performed at the festival over the years. Most notably, Juan Luis Guerra, a Latin music legend and 14-time Grammy Award winner, made his Asian debut at this festival. It is also known as the birthplace of his Billboard Latin chart-topping hit, “Bachata en Fukuoka.”

５）MUSIC CITY TENJIN

開催会場：福岡市役所西側ふれあい広場、他天神各所の特設会場

主催：ミュージックシティ天神運営委員会
福岡・天神のまちとともに成長してきた都市型音楽イベント。



天神の街の活性化と福岡の音楽的環境の向上を目指し2002年にスタートした九州最大級の都市型音楽イベント。福岡・天神地区にフリーライブステージを多数設置し、エリア一帯がまるごとフェス会場に。「天神ビッグバン」で変わり続ける街を音楽でより豊かにすることを目指す、音楽都市・福岡を推進する象徴的フェス。毎年「福岡ミュージックマンス」のアンカーを務めています。

This is Kyushu’s largest urban music live event, launched in 2002 with the idea of transforming the entire Tenjin area into a festival venue. It serves as the figurehead of Fukuoka Music Month every year. The event aims to enrich the ever-changing cityscape with music and serves as a symbol of Fukuoka’s identity as a music city.
